You know that pair of tiles sitting on your rack that doesn't fit your hand at all?
Most players ditch them during the Charleston or toss them early. Makes sense. They're dead weight. Get rid of them and move on.
But what if those "useless" tiles could get you a free joker?
That's joker baiting. You hold the pair on purpose, wait for someone to call one of them, and when they expose a group with a joker in it you swap your second tile and take it.
It sounds almost too simple. But the timing and tile choice matter a lot, and most players never think to do it. We wrote a full breakdown on how it works, when to try it, which tiles make the best bait, and when to skip it entirely.

Try it at your next game night. Even if the bait fails, you'll learn something about the table. That's the sneaky part about this strategy. It's useful even when it doesn't work.
Good luck out there 🀄
